DVLA cat C

Hi all,
When doing a car check on dvla for cat c marker where does it apear on the page if it has the vic marker on it.
I only ask as looking at a cat c car to buy as it's cheaper but need to know if the vic test has been done.

if its cat c there wont be a logbook without a vic

it should say on front of V5 if its been catagorised at some point

But what if the persent owner is the person who had the bump will he have be sent a new log book with the updated info on it.Also should there be any proof of vic test I.E some kind of recipet:)

If it is cat c and he has the log book he should have the vic check test form with it my lads megan iz cat c we got the vic test sheet with it

After a CAT C, the owner doesn't have to have the VIC done unless/until he wants to sell the car on. He just needs to get an MOT.

So if the car is up for sale he needs to have had an MOT done and the VIC and had the V5 updated. It appears in Section 3 - Special Notes at the bottom of the front page.

"Vehicle has been substantially damaged/repaired and had its identity checked on <blah>"

Providing the VIC test form is not a requirement for selling the car on.
