Hey guys,
It is with much regret that I'm selling my little GTti. Basically I intended to turn this into a bit of a trackday toy but I have to be sensible. I have a 6 month old son and I have neither the time nor resources to finish the car.
This used to be my every day car from feb 2009 until last year.
It comes with every bill from new including the bill of sale, all handbooks etc even the dealer brochure.
I don't ask you to believe this next bit but it is 100% true. The previous owner was an elderly lady who used the car for transporting her lawnmower for doing people's gardening. She purchased the car from her son who couldn't afford to keep up the finance payments on it and who incidentally traded his nearly new metro turbo against it according to the bill of sale.
This car really has been cherished throughout its life.
It now has no tax or mot.
It's covered 89k miles and has a very healthy engine.
Recent cambelt (march this year)
It's sat on 6.5 x 15 wheels with very good 195/45/15 tyres
Stainless steel rear exhaust
Munnsey fcd
Boost set at 15psi with mbc
Itg air filter.
What it does need are:
New breaks as these are well beyond there best after standing for a year and are now sticking a little. Car does still drive though.
Clutch as this is slipping now.
Very light welding to the rear strut towers.
As it was going to be used for trackdays the headlining, carpet and rear cards have been removed. Front cards, dash, front and rear seats all remain although the rear seat isn't bolted down.
The back arches are amazingly solid! I've owned 5 gttis over the years and none have ever been this solid! The car has never seen a welding torch yet.
The seam on the n/s cill is bubbling but not rotten and the same at the rear of the o/s cill.
One of the bonnet hinges has partly seized so the bonnet doesn't sit quite flush. I wasn't bothered by this as I was going to fit bonnet pins.
The drivers door has a dent at the bottom thanks to a pissed up bell end kicking it one night but it would push out easily.
The car is located in Grimsby and the price is £800 firm. No offers please.
