Sorry for silly question, which side new clutch suppose to put in face with flywheel to bolt it in before put gearbox back?
Deeper dish face in or outer? Hope my question make sense

I'm pretty sure you can't get it the wrong way, otherwise it won't let you put the screws in?? :scratch:

I put new clutch on, it fitted ok on spring plate on centre that stick out of shoe at edge toward to flywheel but want double check?

Should say gearbox side on the plate, or Getriebeseite(german) if you put the plate the wrong way round it rubs on the flywheel bolts.
in laymans terms:
put the fat bit that sticks out of the plate into the clutch cover.

I was about to say Offset to the gearbox side, but that's just perfect! :agree::laugh:

Yep :ashamed: been there done that! Wondered what the tapping noise was from the gearbox!
Clutch lasted 6k then started slipping as the flywheel bolts actually went through the springs on the clutch plates:scratch:
same here. fitted it the wrong way round, started making a tinkling noise and the pedal felt 'funny'.... :cartman:
