engine/ gear oil

Anyone reccomend oil for my 5. clocks say 95000 but we all know how reliable they are lol. i was told to use 10/40 semi off my local parts shop? Also what gear oil is the best oh and what break fluid? haha

I think you'll be ok with most 10w/40 oils. Renault sell some 'Motrio' oil, think it's about £14 for 5L so really cheap.

Gearbox needs 75W/80. You can get 5L for £21 from Parkers if you get a cheeky trade discount

i use motul 15w50 engine oil - ebay about £30+delivery
elf 75w90 gearbox oil - renault dealers not too pricey
dot 4 racing brake fluid - euro car parts £9 a litre

I know a guy who can get Renault Tranself gearbox oil delivered to your door quite cheap.

£32 for 5L.

Mineral oil specified as standard,is an old pushrod engine afterall,personally run halfords semi synthetic 15w-40 (purple bottle) 10w-40 also fine
