Well after some late nights and very litle sleep for 5 days managed to drag the track car out for its 1st outing and would you know it...............WORKS

Few jobs still required but certainly need better pads as they were crap lol. Temps were fine on track and only real issue was throwing the alt / water pump belt early in the afternoon session and caused the header tank to spit its dummy out. Reworked the alternator angle, topped up and out again :D

Managed almost 5hrs on track and even taking it very easy for most of the day and double checking a lot of items looks like it is going to be fun fun fun

Turned the boost to standard for the day and never changed due to brakes and lack of geo / suspension settings so expect a bit more pace with the extra 50bhp

Anyway never got any pics of video clips :cry:if anyone has any would appriciate it. Loved the arse out action and when commiting a bit more was holding a good pace

So 2 weeks of the initial build last year and 5 evenings this year and it is alive and ready to tackle a few jobs for tracking later in the year ...back to VX220 project now :(

BRILLIANT DAY!!!!!

I liked your car very much, it looked like it was a lot of fun. Sorry if this has been asked but what chassis is it running as it looked tiny?

Thanks :) It is tiny LOL

It's a LA Gold Pro Comp, basically a smaller stiffer locost that is built for racing in the 750 race series

I did have to cut 2 key sections of the chassis to fit the S14 engine and box but tied the mounting pints into the chassis to put some strength back but then as the engine and box are solid mounted the engine itself also puts strength back. Glad to report not chassis flex at ALL which is great.

My Custom prop shaft (non balanced :scared:) was perfect with no vibration and even the live axle never complained about the new power feed - that will be 185 048's :coffee: rather break traction than the diff (non lsd atm)

Really hope there are some clips of pics of the car in action

List of jobs from the shake down test but after those have been done will get it on the rollers and set the boost controller up fully and see how it feels with another 50bhp. I think this will be a good balance for the chassis and anymore loose some of the nice linear deliver and control

Some more cage to be added also

Cant wait to get it out again, even though the custom bonnet is not finished I kind of grew to like the engine out the bonnet look
