chanking doors

probably been asked a few times

but i want to change my doors ( mine are electric and someone decided to weld on base plates for the mirrors :scared: the ones i want to put on are manual and have the proper mirrors on them,

problem is the car is roll pin and the doors are torx! cgb have a hinge kit but at 150 odd euro its a little painfull

anyone else have ideas?

get the torx pins and inserts off mike on here then drill them out to fit :)

are the inserts not just to repair it? how much are we looking at mike?

bump! just been told that its increadbly difficult to modify the existing hinges?

you need to measure the thread on the torx pin, get yourself the correct thread taps and drill corresponding to that tap size, drill through the hinge then tap the thread in the top section of the hinge :)
