This may sound stupid but is it possible to run twin carbs on my 5 turbo?

I ran a twin carb setup on one of my gt turbos, and it over fueled, everyone I tried couldn't get it to fuel right.
I reckon the majority on here will tell you it's pointless and I would agree

Theoretically it's far better due to less restriction and more even fueling over 4 cylinders... In the real world the Solex 32 is a tricky customer and few if any have got it to work at all let alone reliably. If you want to look down that road boosted bike carbs are maybe a better bet, lots of people in the bike community have gone down that route with lots of success...

thanks matt!!the twin set up produced more torque sooner but ideally you'd need runners 1 and4 twinned ect....but thats a manifold nightmare!!:(

bike carbs would be better done on a rear engined 5...much more room.....i fitted a set ok kehins(zx6) to a gtl a few years back....the runners on the inner ones were terrible! the car did go though!:)

Bike bodies, rather than carbs, The suzuki Hayabusa has been boosted and fitted in westerfields and other crazy cars for a couple of years now, its just a question of ingenuity rather than cheque book engineering before we see this sort of thing filter down to our level.

Would be good fun though!!:burnrubber:

Lancia twin carbs

I looked into these but could never find a carb for sale, also there were some turbo capable carbs fitted to the early lotus esprit, think it was a dellorto dhla

Like these

what he said, the only turbo twin carb setup i have ever seen work really well, but for the same money you could probably go injection TB's and have much more control

also both the lotus and lancia setups will be 40-45 mm bore, way too big for a 1400 :crap:
