I have an issue with my r5, whereby, i can select reverse without having to lift the collar, im going to guess i need to adjust the rods??

The rod that connects to the gearstick needs rotating very slightly. Like 1 or 2 notches.

I will pretty much bet that no matter what you do it will be wrong. Those linkages are a pain.

Get under it remove the linkage, put the gearbox in reverse by hand and then get someone inside the car to put the gear stick in the reveresed position then reattach the linkage

not too far in reverse though as you won't be able to select 1st and 2nd anymore :p

thing is it currently does select reverse, but it can do this without lifting the collar so im going to guess its twisted to far over in the reverse direction, im not going to knock it back ever so slightly and see how it fairs.

sorted this, litrally was a smidgeon out..

i do find however with the BM quickshift when selecting 5th it hits the body , right noisy!

What part? Towards the back or the drivers side. Sounds like its still a touch out.

emrm like if you go for 5th the physical gear selector under the car touches the edge of the gear selector casing/car .. that really dosent make sence but i hope it means somthing.

so its the actual metal rod your moving that bashes , not the long selector rod.
