Does anyone know if the piper valve springs are ment to be bigger than the standard ones??:crap: I think they have sent me the wrong ones:(

doesn't look right, but try a cap on a spring, if it doesn't look/feel right it'll be wrong

yeah the cap is a mega loose fit.

the piper part no# on the box should be - vssr5.

thats the strange thing about it, its got that part number and says ren 5 gt turbo on the box, its annoying now because the head is all in bits :mad:

Sam, whats the cam got on it, IIRC it should be stamped on the cam bp285 or 285

yep the cam part number on the box is bp285

But it should also be stamped on the cam itself mate.

They certainly are not right. Visually there's hardly any difference at all between the Piper springs and the standard ones. :confused:

yeah rang piper and gave them the measurements they are way to big they gave me some cvh ones by mistake there sending me the right ones now

just got my replacement springs guess what there wrong again how special are they. :mad:

keep the sets they have sent and ask again for a replacement set.

find out what car the valve springs you have will fit and sell them on, if you can do this you havent paid for anything ;) if you cant then tell piper to sort there act out:sad2:

ive ordered direct from piper a few time with no probs in the past.

yeah garry at piper said just to keep the last set so I will be keeping the 2nd set to, the ones they have gave are for a cvh engine eg. rs turbos, xr3i etc so will be albe to sell on no probs and the box says renault 5 gt turbo again they want to check there stock out lol. just takes the piss now!
