View Full Version : Boost problem..! Help!

The car boosts really well at half throttle & low rpm but if you try hard acceleration for example standing start of traffic lights it drops off boost And doesn't go anywhere.. Any ideas? Can't see any obvious leaks or splits :/

Could it be the actuator? If so would this 'cup mod' do anything?

Check the actuator bracket is tight

Got it! Intercooler has a split in one of the core's.. Damn!
Cheers guys thought it might be something more serious!

Or maybe not!.. Tried a different intercooler & still the same problem.. Put a fresh £20 of bp ultimate in and still no luck.. Checked all hoses & swapped carb top & checked seal.. Now can only think.. actuator, carb leaking somewhere or bent turbo blade? No idea! it's so flat at the top end :/
