Trip to Le Mans 2009?

Ive been looking into arranging a group trip to Le Mans, race 13th-14th June next year.

Basically it'll breakdown as Dover-Calais ferry crossing, insurance, club parking area, camping and week entry ticket (10th-14th, nongrandstand) all for around £250.

Im thinking along the lines of-

Meet at Dover Wednesday afternoon. Ferry. Stock up on cheap french supplies, getting to Le Mans Wednesday night.
Thursday final practice day.
Friday Parade day.
Race Saturday-Sunday.
Leave for home Monday morning.

tbh there are various options, ferry/ticket packages/times.......
different companies offering different prices. Seperate arrangements....but id like to book it all together, so we can book a club parking area. If no body is in a rush back home on Monday we could maybe try arrange a visit to the Renault collection at Flins?

So who'd be up for it?

I think 10 or so definites should be enough to make it happen.

yeah, ive heard that, one of the travel firms i spoke to said you could reserve your camping spot if you booked early enough, yeah right!!

id be up for going on tuesday, to get there for wednesday practice, that just makes it a long week for everyone to get time off.....?

Been going for the last 5 years. Best get a move on to reserve chaps as all the good campsites go very quickly. Just to give you an idea of the urgency, I booked our campsite for 2009 in May 2008!!!!!! Well worth the experience. Fat cars everywhere and most of time baking hot sun. We will have to meet down there. Cant wait for the night racing........:)
