Often, i struggle to answer this, but today my friend collection a 200sx, and i watched him checking his turbo for play, it took about 45 mins of undoing crap, clips rubbish nonsence for him to get to it, then he removed his front bumper which unearthed so much orange rust and ****!.

I think one of the most important things for me and 5 gtts is the fact they are so small and therefore managable, i often feel i suffer from ocd when it comes to cars, which is a very bad things, but at least with 5 turbos its possible to solve the craving of making everything mint quite easilly.

Also for me its simply because nothing can beat the cheeky look of an r5 coming around the corner of the road, barely taking up 1/4 of it, they always seem to bop along as though there on chopped springs, and then when you hear them come on boost it just seems so wrong... OH man i cant wait to get back on the road in mine ! :wasntme::wasntme::wasntme::wasntme:

I love turbo lag and dump valve sound. And the roar you get when you put your foot down.

they are pretty cheap to maintain. Even though its my daily driver its my hobby as well.

Things like getting boot badges and side decals are annoying though :@ every other part you can get in abundance :)

I also love the noise, the roar and the dumpvalve does it for me. Also owning something fairly unique is a good. Nice to be different, its also my daily.

For me it's Definatley the underdog feel compared to the new larger overgrown technical fun sapping new cars.. Along with all the noises and drive feel. The risk you get as you plant your foot as no computer or aides are going to help or hinder you. It's down to you and how well you have looked after your 20something year old motor.. Driving the mrs car bores me and it's a chore were as my 5 is a pleasure.. It's all about the grin factor and these old buets have bundles of them.. Oh and I love that it's pisses my mrs off and she never wants a lift to the shops.. Plus cheap tax cheap petrol so more cash for mods.. That's why Iv has two. :)

they are just completely bad ass! i love how people who didnt know what they were and judged it thinking it was some poxy little car and when i took them out in it they soon changed their minds!

and its also a car which brings the "my dads mates uncles grandma had one and it was 1000bhp" and "headgasket" comments out making the individual look a right knobend!

when i went on the testdrive the owner drove so fast i could of sworn it was the fastest car in the world as the roads were like a rollercoaster and his foot was welded to the floor!

i friggin need one

The oily petrol smell in the cabin from the catch tank vapour.

The rust, breakages, worn out parts and multicoloured panels on peoples shed cars all suck though.

Well I properly hated mine being so tempermental, but after selling my red one which i owned for 10 yearas a couple of months back and driving my subaru about, its well tbh boring in comparison , no car has come close to the fun i had in that little five. Just wish they were a bit more reliable. The boxy looks, and aggressive kick/ noise made u feel like a right little hooligan. Cant wait to get my little black one on the road :):)

Haha, was just driving back home from work, there was a blue 106 1.3 ahead. He was accompanied by 2 motorcycles telling him in every stoplight how good it looks and what a great job he did fixing it and stuff. On the 3rd stoplight i wooooooshed them leaving them 300 meters back, even the guys in the motorcycles were trying to catch me. guess what, next stoplight theyre all on me "wow dude what a great car" and kudos from everyone.:cooter:

Well i love that (:P) plus it has a freaqin unique shape and the turbo surge...:wasntme:

As a chap above beautifully wrote, and i'm rephrasing, it's awsome having this old unique, great and attention-hore car, drining it on it's edge on comparison to all the *new* damn computer cars.

The oily fuelly smell from beasting a GTT so good and the thing that passengers first comment on. :)

I don't know what it is but as soon as I sit in a GTT I'm happy even before firing it up to hear the canal barge like idle. :smokin: Then driving it always feels like its encouraging you to accelerate harder which just makes me grin like a mad man. :burnrubber:

But on the down side now every other car I've been in how ever nice or fast it maybe I find myself just feeling god I miss my GTT.
