Question 1: will the 286mm big brake conversion still allow me to have my standard 13" speedlines on?
Question 2: I've booked some track time and wanted some decent pads for the hammer and mintex pads look really expensive 140+ but how good are they against green stuff £100 and ferodo racing £70?
Question 3:is there any point putting super douper pads on the rear?

Cheers guys.

dont touch greenstuff with a bardge pole imo. mintex 1144s or ferodo ds2500 are great. or carbon lorraine are mad for track only!

Run o.e pads on track & see what happens.

Ds2500 or mintex 1144 on standard size discs are more than adequate for track use, renew brake fluid and pressure bleed too

Is it really going to matter on the odd trackway once a year? For myself that is:scratch:

Tbh her majestys public highway is normally my track of choice so the brakes get hammered 24/7. I just dont want to be heading into a hairpin after 7-8 laps and be getting the polished pad feeling followed by a mouthful of dash :)

Im probably going to go with the mintex ones because of the good rep on the tinterweb, going to swap the fluid and put some OE on the rear.

In a perfect word the 286mm brakes would let me keep my speedline shoes but it looks like the clio sport 5 spokes would have to go back on and i find the handling divebombs with them on. Gain on brakes, loose on handling decisions decisions.

Sorry but.....

Slightly off topic but would this ebay item be a good investment:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160836572701?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

ive currently got a pace double cap intercooler, would the front mount offer me much improvement?

Also take the age of your brake fluid into account too, maybe time to renew.

Carbon Lorraine are indeed decent pads, beware the high levels of brake dust that could potentially ruin the paint on the wheels and wear out the discs. I'm taking another set of discs to Blyton just in case

When you say speed lines, I presume you mean the OE 5GTT 13" wheels?

I also would not use green stuff again after having tired them twice.
