unknown turbo on my renault

hi guys, i wonder if any one can tell me how to identify a turbo. its alot bigger than my standard t2 turbo on my renault 11. should i look for anything in particular to tell me what it is? regard simon

Yes, look for manufacturer, also anything with ar numbers on it ( such as ar .42 )

Take a pc of t and post it up here....

its a garret and says .48 on it. anything?

whats the exhaust ar mate its stamped in case where it bolts onto manifold

on the turbo in the exhaust housing there should be a number 35 or 47 or 49 etc

It looks to be a t25 of some description. Its not a t3 cover so wont be a t28.

At what revs dose it kick in?

i didnt kick in till about 5000, but iv put my t2 back on this morning. runs so much better now.

That looks like a 200sx t25.64 to me

I'm running a silvia turbo on my 5, i like it, same as the standard turbo but the wastegate doesn't crack
