Rebuilding a C1j for my brother and its been a while since i have done one. I have got new crank bearings to go in which are different to the originals. The originals have two holes in and a groove down the centre of each which i assume is for oil delivery? The replacements are a solid piece no holes and no grooves?

Being a thick engineer i would have thought they should be the same? If not, has anyone any ideas if being different will cause issues?

I bought some quite a few years ago and mine had the grooves and hole as u described.

Never seen a complete solid one. Not to say it's incorrect but I would get confirmation before fitting them mate...

Yeah I'm thinking the one's I have would cut off oil supply:( to the crank journals!

Isn't there something about ones with one hole have to go in the correct way round and ones with two holes can go in either way........

Solid ones I'm sure would do what you say.

Some have holes in some don't. My original ones were solid but the replacements had the hole in :)
