I have got the tools to get my windscreen out but am still a smudge confused...

I have taken the outer seal off but there is still a seal attached to the windscreen. Do I take this off from the inside of the car, the outside, leave it on and cut it out??

Can it be reused when I refit my screen??

Ive just had my screen done an the seal sounds similar to the one you have,
It had a split in the seal at the bottom centre of the window and the guy prised it out 'gently' and pulled it away from the edge of the glass, it was a 'U' shape sitting around the edge of the screen, slide it off carefully !
Then he used a cheese wire type effort to saw through the sealant.

He reused the seal to fit the screen again but he cleaned the excess rubber of with some solvent of some sort.

All this cost me £50 , and the first time I tried removing a screen myself I cracked it so for the money it makes it worth while getting the pro's in :)

Hope that helps !

Outer seals re use not a problem inner can be reused providing it doesn't get damaged when removed. I keep new inner and outers in stock if you do get any problems.

Thanks

The seal attached to the edge of the window should be romoved from outside the car !
Then cut the sealant with a wire :agree:

I hardly even touched it too. lol.

A very delicate job to get it out without cracking it. Ah well-no need to be gently now I guess.

What did you use, it is an easy job with the right tools? Just take your time and don't push up on the glass from the inside.

I had one of the tools where the blade slips in and you pull it round, breaking the sill.

The screen cracked when I was trying to insert the tool :(
