cam followers.....

hello guys justva quick one for you...im after the size of the diameter of.the.cam.followers..
its bad enough as it is.theyre 25 notes each but i dont know if its 19mm or 19.2mm..
i spoke to the parts man at renault an he was to busy thinking bout his gay lover to b any help...cheers fellas dan :cooter:
yes i know i could take them out an measure but its for a different engine so dont wanna take off head incase someobe can tell me...cheers

whats the general opinion on changing cam followers when fitting a new cam??? i know you should but have any of u not...how is it??

19mm is standard

but i dont know if its 19mm or 19.2mm

The 19.2mm followers are only if the o.e follower locating holes are excessively worn, hence they can be machined out a touch & you then fit these larger followers instead.

If no wear is present, or no previous machining has taken place, then the 19mm followers is what you want.
