I know that's very specific, but I'm gonna be setting off about mid day on the Friday. If anybody want's to participate in a good ol' convoy, stick your name down.
It will be best meeting at the Thickthorn services on the A11 / A47 junction right outside Norwich - say 1pm?

Hi Logg - ATM I aim to be in that area about 2-3pm. If you chose route 2 we will be able to meet up at Peterborough. It all depends on time really. I'm lucky this year as I have some time owed to me at work so I'm able to take the day off.

It's ninety mile for here to Peterborough so if we where to leave at midday I guess we'd be there about two.

So I guess for all the Surrey peeps, we meet at location"x" and leave at 12pm...
If there is anyone driving from down south up the M25, can you meet us at location "x" for just before 12pm, as that's when we are setting off :)

I'm easy... Toddington Services is up the M1, that means using Route 1. If we are to stop in Peterborough, we will need to use Route 2.

I am going to stop off in Leicester for the night, so I maybe doing route 1 all the way. I can still meet up @ 12pm and follow you guys around the M25 ;)

I'm booking day off work too so can travel up during day too, as i'm further up than most of you i can do either Toddington or anywhere along the M40 if you do that route at all
I may be just in the van or have a certain 5 in tow too! ;)

Which means depending on how busy the roads are-Dartford Tunnel you'll be in Essex about half 11, could join you. My old man lives 15 miles away from Blyton and was thinking of heading up Thursday night, staying at his, then mooch up to the track.
I can only get the afternoon off work so I'll be tailing behind you guys a little I think but we'll try and catch up. Alright if I grab someone's number please (preferably a passenger obviously) so I can see where you're at once we are on our way?

Hi Romain,
The above is the best route to take for you guys. Be aware that the M25 can be very busy at rush-hour times (6:30am-9am, and 4pm-6:30pm), and you'll need £1.50 for the Dartford crossing (each way).
Circa 3.5-4hr drive from Dover ferry port/Eurotunnel @ Folkstone if the traffic is good.

Yeah that's the one in dartford..
Ye that's easy for me too as I'll have to drive right passed lakeside anyways and so do the French peeps.. So to confirm I'd leave at the 1st exit to lakeside, at round about go towards the shopping centre 4th exit? Then the esso is 1st exit at the next roundabout (the 1 the buger van sits at) does that sound about right buddy?

I also spoke to Phil (surrey guy) and he's up for meeting too :agree: Probably not at this location, but somewhere on route.
So to the French memebers that are coming from dover, a2/m2, M25 etc we will be at LAKSIDE SERVICES, this is located just after the Dartford crossing. Maybe we can try sort a map out for them..

Would love to join in on a convoy but won't be able to go any faster than 50mph as i'm towing :(
We'll be running a little later also as I need to work in the morning, so we might even catch up with you Steve :)

Just to add, if anyone is interested in meeting on route as well, can stop off at Stansted services, as was just going to make my way up at a slow pace to there during friday. Might try and meet up further up route, but dont know what time heading off yet.

Personally I'd like to get some miles under the belt and get away from the Essex area ASAP, we could stop for a breather on the A14 or the 1st services on the A1M or A1?

No stopping at Stansted, the first stop should be Peterborough A1(M) can't be doing with stopping every 20-30 miles :ashamed:
Sounds good for me, what I will look at doing is heading into the services, and when you are just coming up to the junction will give a quick ring and I will start heading my way onto the M11

And in a strange twist of fate, Fluffy has died and I can't see a way of getting her sorted before next week, so I might as well just jolly well....... well I don't know what, but FFS this happened last year aswell. the 1st 8 national days went without a hitch.

OK - the plan so far (for the eastern contingency) is (on the Friday) to meet up at 5 ways @ 11.00 am to rondezvous with the others at the A1/A14 at about 1.(can I have a contact number for the meet @ the A1 services please) That will be me JP, Handy and Oli.

Ok, so a little over 24hrs to go people so I thought I'd to a full timing schedule, postcodes for meeting points in 1 post so it's clear for all people to see, copy/paste etc.
So it all starts of in Dover with the French contingent arriving on British soil approx 10:30am
All being ok they'll be leaving Dover at that time to head up to the Lakeside services to meet me and Dave Reed. We won't be be leaving Lakeside until Romain, Bruno etc arrive so the timings start from there.
Dale Jarvis (Bigfoot) will be at Birchanger Services on the M11, we won't be stopping but more Dale merging with us en route northbound M11 so I guess people are more than welcome to be there if they're nearby.
All timings are subject to slight change based on traffic flow, roadworks, accidents :ashamed: I think I've allowed enough time to make each point.
