just noticed kilwinning, your 65 miles from me what exactly needs welding
new front bumper mounts, hole under accelerator pedal, drivers side rear window needs the full bottom lip cut out (have section there to replace) couple bits around windscreen and a patch on the drivers side door pillar. Spoke to a few coachworks around my way but there just ripping the piss
If you dont mind me asking what sort of quotes are you getting mate

Just at a guess I'd say £900 just with the work involved and coach work prices, as I've not welded cars before I'd under take this on my own car but wouldn't like to experiment on someone elses also a tig welding machine would be more suited to the rear window I only have a mig at home, sorry buddie but I can't help out here
first one was from a mate of a mate lol said about 750-800  second one was round about the same but the guy said as he hadn't seen the car there was a possibility of it being cheaper just dont know if its worth it, its gonna need resprayed aswell after the works done so its back to the drawing board :disagree:
I would say, getting a good interior would be a problem
