I have fitted a gt2860rs and was using a standard oil feed for a journal bearing turbo. Thought it was time to fit the proper sized oil restrictor and had no boost what so ever:scratch:
I swapped back to the old feed and all was ok. Can I damage the turbo by giving it too much oil? If not il just leave it how it is otherwise il have to drill the other feed out a little as all I can think is that the oil is too thick.

stick the standard item back in;)

the rollerbearings are still reliant on oil same as the journal bearing type, treating both the same can't cause any harm:)
just make sure you've got a good coolant system as the rollerbearing type turbo are more dependant on cooling.

the only reason i changed to the restrictor is because i was getting a slight bit of oil in the comp housing and thought i may be forcing too much oil in. I may drill out the new restrictor so it is smaller than the old one but bigger than how it was.

I swapped straight from a standard 270 degree (is it 270? I can never remember! Lol!) T28 to a roller bearing 28RS and used the old feed, no restrictor, never had an issue and turbos still mint after 14k of 17psi boost
