Working on my 5 this evening, everything Was going fine, until I packed up to to go home, car is on axel stands and I've somehow managed to close the garage with the back bumper of the car wedged up against the garage door. I can't get into the garage!!!!!!!! Help

is it your garage ?
if its council drill some holes in the door, tie on a tow rope and pull the bugger off, then phone the council and tell them its been broken into and you want it fixed pronto :laugh::laugh:

Its council but it's a new up and over garage door, realy struggling for ideas of what to do.

lol...u definately deserve a badge for that bud.....if i was you mate id core cut 4 holes in the roof in shape of square just enough for you to drop into.....put a blanket on roof of car an u can ease onto roof an bingo.......you have to weigh up costs....replacing door an runners etc...to patching a corrugated roof....;-);-);-);-)

Why can't the car be dropped down and rolled foward?:scratch: if you've slammed the dor and its on the car and now the door won't open, pull the top of the door toward you and push the bottom in gently while you turn the handle.

Gary the cars on 4 axel stands with the only access being through the garage door, not touching the roof as it might be asbestos. Think it's gonna need 2 people to hold the corners and one to wiggle the handle. What a d1ck I am! On the Plus side the work I did in the r5 went without a hitch! :D

:laugh: chances are it won't be asbestos but I wouldn't bother savor will be more hassle than its worth. Get some people pulling the door as the handle only connects to the latches with cables and they are most probs just streaching and not pulling the latches back.

Push the door slightly whilst moving the handle, it should open

i did this before its annoying i managed to open my door ever so slight and sent my 7 yr old cousin under to release the door lol

Well I went back down to the garage after work with a friend,both armed with a spade:D
Within 5mins we had got back in the garage:cooter:
Yeah baby!!! Bumpers now off and the garage door works as it should do, and with no damage to door, or the bumper:agree: :laugh: now it's time for someone else on here to do something stupid!!:cartman:
