big thick grey cable (long) wheres it go

As the title , i have a big thick grey cable, im guessing its either earth or posotive.. i was going to run it though the hole in the firewall (near the aei), along the back (along side the heater matrix pipes) then down and bolt it to the back of the engine, but just wanted to check as it has a funky end of it that looked very much like a starter motorstyle end.

Sounds like your positive cable from battery to starter motor

starters have 2 power cables going to it. make sure you have both,

It's the + from battery to starter.
