windscreen wipers

Fired up the cup car today after a load of work on the engine,but something stupid is going on i cannot turn the windscreen wipers off:laugh: i changed the wiper stalk i while back because the previous had sawn it off????????but i hadnt tested back then due to no battery installed,would this be a relay problem?:)

have you tried all positions, i think only the intermittent goes through a relay but if thats stuck on it may cause that, try pulling the relay to be sure, my first suspicion would be the switch especially as its untested, next port of call would be the switch in the wiper motor assembly that stops them at the bottom of the screen followed by the associated wiring :coffee:
