You can't really set the car up for 2 boost settings, once you do carb it'll be set for one boost pressure only

Me personally i would be removing the grp A carb body and fitting a standard one, fit standard main jet back in there and then mod the 2nd stage and ac to get the fueling right. Whats sizes and mods you do will all deoend on engine spec, turbo type and boost pressure your running.

If you continue to keep running it lean yes you could do some damage

id agree with mark on this one mate, get standard venturi in there and start a fresh.

but if you have to stick with group a carb, yes look at doing 2nd stage and see if that helps bring afr down a tad, also what size main are you running atm?

So it is best to get the car set up for 1 boost setting(no incar adjustment). The max boost i want to run is 16 psi on a t2 turbo, standard engine. I will have to find out what jets are in the carb. i have a oe carb body are they better to set for 16psi than a group a carb body.

A std jetted carb wouldn't take much fettling for a bar of boost, on a T2 i wouldnt go much further than that :)
