View Full Version : What gauges do you have?
What gauges have people got in their 5's?
I currently have a boost gauge where the clock should be.
I was thinking of getting a water temp gauge aswel.
I have replaced the center vents on the dash with one of those chrome CGB 3 x gauge holders 9pain in the arse when sunny) I have a psi boost gauge, a dual oil pressure and water temp gauge, and the other I did have an XD-16 AFR gauge, soon to be replaced with EGT gauge.

I have 2x dual SPA gauges located on the A pillar. I have a boost/charge temp & oil pressure/water temp useful bits of kit but more to worry about!
Boost gauge, Water temp, Oil pressure
In the van i have boost & oil pressure. Might fit an oil temp gauge soon.
My gtt has boost, oil pressure & voltmeter.

i think id like an oil temp gauge in mine just to see whats going on , its running to cold i think , water temp never went above 70 , need to change the low temp thermostat me thinks just to allow the oil to get a bit warmer , normall running water temp should be in the 80's i think ??

Normal water temp during cruising is in the low 80s. Oil temp should be in the low 90s when cruising...
I have a low temp thermostat and still have these temps, so I don't know why yours are so low. Where did you fit the water temp sensor? Mine is welded into the head...

the temp sensor is plumbed into the 1 of the pipes going to water pump ,
the way the water circuit is done is slightly diff to normal 5 ,but it just seems super cool , also having the seperate oil cooler helps keep the water temp down , the fan comes on about 86 but very rarley does it get that hot unless stationary for a lengthy time, so its something im going to look at soon , normally you wouldnt be complaining about a 5 gt turbo running to cold :crap:

Double din centre console, and then put 3 gauges in one of the din slots?
