Engine earth

I know you can never have too many earths but am I correct in thinkin there should be one from the gearbox to ....??

Is it connected from the top of the gearbox? And to where??

I don't have one at the moment and it may explain the click click vroom when I used to to try and start it!!

No the 5 only ever had one earth from the engine to the bulkhead.

The click-click-voom you normally get with the starter i found out can be down to a bad connection in the multiplug under the header tank

The actual engine block to the bulkhead or do u mean the one from the head to the bulkhead?

I have rebuilt my 5. If I still get the starting issue my next port of call was the connector of death lol.
