My fogs have never worked since i got the car so decided to get them working so it passes the MOT when it comes around.I checked the voltages of the wires going to the fogs and they are fine. The fogs themselves where very badly corroded even the bulbs so i decided to try and break the seal around the glass to clean inside which resulted in it shattering.

On my old fiesta mk6 it was possible to remove the glass then stick it back on.I was thinking of ordering some clear fogs from ktec tomorow.Doubt they come with bulbs or surrounds but i will ask.My dad said to get some lucas, cibe etc spot lights and put them in the surrounds and my mate said its worth trying other companys to see if they make fogs for the r5 cheaper. How much discount do we get off ktec?

Clear will look good with my clear front indicaters but might make my standard tungston grey phase 2 look a bit plain on the front? Im thinking of spraying the car liquid yellow some time next year so might be worth getting some standard yellow ones to go with that.

Thanks,Luke

I'm sure the new lights come with the plastic surrounds.

The clear ph2 fogs are available from gsf. You don't need the front fogs working for mot so don't worry too much.

If your careful you can remove the lense off the fogs without breaking it, cut through the stikaflex carefullywith a stanley knife. I swapped the clear glass out of a rusty set of fogs onto a good set of yellow ones years ago.

Thanks for that just rang the newcastle branch and they are a few quid cheaper but he wasnt sure if they come with bulbs and a surround.Couldnt understand him on the phone because my house phone is pretty poor sound and his geordie accent.Im usually fine with Geordie accents but he spoke pretty quick. They havent got the yellow ones on stock anywhere.

Went I last spoke to GSF and various local motor factors about a year back the yellow fogs were no longer available, they could still get clear though. Renault still had them, about £30 each iirc. Renault part number is 77 01 366 152 if you want to get a price from your dealer.

Been in touch and he said this if anyone is interested

I can do them for £60 inc p&p OE Renault ones, not copies.

Local Renault dealer price is £37.02 (each). Hope this helps, but none in stock.

I seem to be posting more about fog lights than anything else.Sorry i know this isnt the FLOC:D Finally got them in and just thought id let you know the earth connection screw is too long and doesnt earth so need to sort my passenger side one like i did my drivers side. Its an easy fix.Well worth copper sliping the inside the inside of the seal to make sure water doesnt get in and corrosion starts.I also waxed the back of the lights which is a bit sad really.Havent had a drive out with them on yet but happy with how they look:)
