Got my r5 on the road last night it feels like its holding back in every gear at about 2500rpm
And then smoths out about 3500 rpm really annoying feels like a kangaroo not that I've ever been on one lol :)
Any ideas what it might be or is there anyone in north west London I can bring it down to ?

have you tried adjusting the accelarator pump mechanism, might just need a little tweak:D

what happens to the afr's when the issue occurs?

try cleaning out the carb idle jet,big brass slot screw on the drivers side, make sure your choke is fully off and fully returned, also when was the fuel filter last replaced?,may aswell whip the carb top off and see if there any crud lying around.

Look in the articles section sure there is a thread in there. Think you put a 5mm drill bit down the venturi to hold the butterfly open then adjust the pump jet rod until the spring touches. Something like that anyway.

this thread has the info you need on how to do it:

the rod with the spring on, is the part you need to adjust:

or you can fiddle about with it while carb is still on the car untill it feels better when driving (may take you a few attempts though)
