I was thinking... regarding those AFRs... it's a fact that air contains less oxygen when it's warm than when it's cold, right? So the mixture is always richer on a hot day than on a cold day. Correct me if I'm wrong so far... ;)
So doesn't this also mean that adjusting your carb's jets and looking for those perfect AFRs when idling, cruising or thrashing it is not really feasible if you look at it like this? :scared: Temperature-wise, the conditions are never the same...

Ive never noticed hardly any difference in afr's whether it be hot or cold, saying that it doesn't get very warm over here on a hot summer day:cry:

i dont think its to big a deal with most carb'd R5s
but maybe on a really cold day just drop the boost slightly if you have set the carb up on a warm day!
might be sensible

but then i might be talking total horsesh*t!

ive noticed these last few months that my boost has crept up due to the cold days so as said above just adjusted the boost down a little :)
