Following on from this thread (http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?p=25084#post25084 (http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?p=25084#post25084)) I decided to try and get you guys a discount and we have been offered a spanking deal on the full hose kits:D

He has offered that if we can get 10 people to order the full kits, we can have the below prices. Normally with delivery they are dead on £200 just for the set of 15 hoses, nice saving there! :agree:

I have haggled a bit and he has offered the below (as of 05/12/08), let me know which option you want:

15 piece hose kit £143 (if you want these in blue you might aswell get them from UnstableCable as they are cheaper)

Boost hoses only £45

15 piece hose kit + boost hoses £176

He can do them in all colours but as in the first post, some colours will take an additional week as are made to order. These are all delivered prices.

I need a new list please, name/order/colour

What we have arranged between us is for me to get a list of who definitely wants which colour. Once we have 10 names I’ll then pass you all on his paypal address along with the text that you must enter when paying him so he knows who you are.

I don’t want to mess this guy about, he’s been very generous and we could potentially get further discounts with him in future.

Regarding the boost hoses, he said if someone can send him what is needed they will replicate them, can anyone help with this? I don't mind covering the postage to China out of my own pocket if needed.

Just been in touch with him and they said all costs will be covered for loss/damage, he has just asked for them not to be sent to him via Airmail as its unreliable. They receive samples in every day from around the world successfully.

Imagine it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper than that, seeing as they sell 15 hoses for £150. Have you got a pics of them by any chance, I'll see it he can quote from sight for us?

ive got a phase1 main boost hose, its a straight through hose with no perc fan take off and obviously no dump valve take off.

im just transfering the funds now but im having difficulty deciding on the colour, most of my interior is red but i think red is quite common in the engine bay and was thinking of going orange, any thoughts from the experts :)

To tell the honest truth I have always removed the thermostats during the summer months on all my other 5's anyway....I think with this one I couldn't find the stat when I was fitting the samco's but all the same doesn't seem to have ever given me any trouble.....More alarmingly as you now have me thinking is this a bad thing????

Your coolant isn't supposed to be too cold, because you risk cracking the cylinder head (due to differences in temperatures on a hot engine with cold water pumping round) and running without a thermostat does keep the coolant quite cold.

I finaly got around to fitting my hoses. They're not all on yet as I've got the carb and manifolds off but I took a piccy so you can see they do fit :laugh:
Although I had to trim about an inch off the bottom rad hose as it was too long and kinked up, but measure and trial fit your's befor you start chopping them down.

I thought I'd tightened mine but the pump to swirl one still leaked. I had to get grips and a 13mm spanner on it.

well am not impressed by these hoses at all.
fitted the top 2 coolant 1s with the bleed nipples.
even with brand new jubales and as tight as they would go water.
still managed to get past its becasue ive noticed.
they aint a snug fit i mean its like putting ur finger in a bucket the diasmater is all wrong.
so am gona email him see what he says.
its a pain cos i really need the top 1
