I've been offered a nice deal on a new gt2560r here are the specs i got.
Compressor 60mm, 60 trim, 0.60 a/r . Turbine 53mm, 62 trim, 0.64 a/r
Wondering what this turbo would be like on a c1j. I'm running piper 285 and efi and i want to have it remapped to run 1,8bar.

I think Brigsy has one of these on his van, not sure he may have a bigger turbine housing than the 64, all depends what you want the car for. I doubt you would have much boost before 4000rpm

Have you been offered just one turbo or can you get them cheap from a dealer? If so how much:D

I dont mind some lag but no more then the t28 im running at the moment.

Size wise it looks like the same as a 200sx t28 which gets going at 3000rpm on the b18ft so 4-4500 sounds about right on a c1j.

I have one with .64 rear, spools up quite well full boost 4.5-5k. I do have surge issues at higher boost levels though

I have similar trim on my GT28RS and it spools at about 3500, but that's on a F7P lump, I would of thought it'd be laggier on a smaller engine such as the C1J.

if the deals right though i'd plug for it ;-)

Ye gave it a blast to tesco at lunch 3500. It does spool a bit before then but 3500 is when it pulls like a beast ;)

That sounds excellent! The one ive got now is also laggy or maby its dead...
On the other hand i bought a williams last weekend wich i wasnt going to turbo but iff it the turbo wouldnt be good for my 5 i still have a second option since i still have so many turbomanifolds laying around wich i still havent ebayd.

Cant be a .64 rear mate, mine makes boost from about 3k but nothing useable under 4.5k.

3500 sounds like a .49, mines similar.

My old gt2554r with .49 turbine housing used to come on boost around 3500 and on full chat around 4200-4300. If I did it all again with a c1j I would go with a bigger rear housing and a big ass cam, who gives a $hit about lag, just rev it harder

My exact thoughts Jon, if i can sniff out an .86 rear to fit mine it will be going on!!

Makes sence, more power per pound of boost, just moving the powerband up the rev range.

I'm affraid I dont mate but I know where I could get you one from if you need it, have a chat with cr turbos in New Milton sound bloke and one of the only people I know who can supppy a Gt2554r with a .49 rear housing, they have them cast themselves.
