Needed ergent carb top

i have just rebuilt my carb and noticed a small crack in the top part of the carb were the screws go in so that you can bolt the lobster top on. i thought it might be ok so i screws the sobster top back on as gently as possible and then the bolt slipped and striped the thread out because of the crack...

has anyone got the top of a carb they can sell me its a solex version..

drill down hole with a 5mm drill and then send a 6 x 1mm tap down.when you've finished use a longer 6mm screw or stud!!
