Just flicked through the 1991 Renault 5 brochure and noticed that only Glacier White and Tungsten were the only colours available to order.

Bit of trivia for you!

J plate cars are only ever tungsten or white.. if that helps :)

very strange as i would have expected them to keep the best selling colours if they were reducing the range and i just cant see white being that popular, back in the day i seem to remember more red ones about than any other colour :scratch:

white and tungsten is the best colour



IMO :) if i see a white or grey 91 r5 thats cheap il be getting it for a OE project

Yep. I think the electric blue colour came origionally from the r5 turbo/2.
Phase1 unpainted kit
Phase 1.5 same colour ph2 painted kit.
Uk got gtts in electric blue, france got yellow.

some say that the yellow and electric blue paints where applied thinner than other paints, hence why they rotten so badly....

My 1987 e reg ph1.5 is in lot better condition than my tungy j reg was.
Imo It's all about a caring owner who washes and maintains the car. Then location, as far away from the beach as possible.
