Hi folks I've got a standard Renault 5 and I was looking to get a little more boost, from what I've read adjusting the actuator is the way to go, how do I do this and will a little kill the engine,

Keep a check on the afrs and the engine will be fine, do it blind and engine will die. What turbo do you have and what boost pressure are you after? Also what type of carb do you have?

As far as I know its totaly standard, so its a know go without the afr guage?

Its a game of chance without an afr.

My standard setup ( carb / t2 ) ran lean at 14psi .

I'm guessing mines at 7psi being standard( most probably wrong) so what about 12psi?

Good advice :agree:

From personal experience my totally standard gtt ran way too lean at 14psi, and every other gtt ive tuned has been the same... hook up an afr gauge or visit a rolling road and turn it up carefully. If something is a miss on the fuelling side you will find out with a boost increase.

Looks like I'll be leaving it for the time being then but when I've got a afr guage I'll be back for info thanks any how folks use have probably just saved me an engine and a lot of hassle
