Which exhaust

Restoring my 5 turbo and want a stainless steel exhaust system that basically looks Oem.

The cgb one looks good - anyone had one fitted? What are they like? Was the 2 inch rolled tail standard?

Did orbisoud make one for the 5?

Other options?

Are you choosing the exhaust by the look of it's tailpipe, the sound it makes, or by the effect it has on the power and torque?

To the OP:
If it's noise you want that ought to do it.

If it's good gas flow that probably also will do it.
A 2 1/4 inch bore might flow better, such as a Collins performance Mongoose.

Looks like a nice bit of kit, I wonder how much clearance over the rear beam that'll have.
Some of the ready made low cost silencers don't last long. I can't tell if that's a good one or not.

Looks a bit like a kind of copy of a devil rear exit crossed with the cup series side exit.

Well, want an Oem look for the tailpipe and also a decent sound. Not bothered by power gains as engine is standard.

saw this awhile back. Looks a good quality one but didn't like look of the tailpipe.

If it's noise you want that ought to do it.More interested in decent build than noise tbh.

I guess that the only way you'll get the original 'pea shooter' tail pipe is to have that custom made.

I guess the tiny OE tail pipe is not conducive with noise which is mostly why they fit ridiculous big diameter ones, the other being to swindle people who think that's a performance gain.

As far as well made goes, I don't know about currently available brand name stuff.

I thought some came with a much larger bore tailpipe, mine is about three inch (maybe closer to 2.5in) and if I remember still has a Renault sticker on the backbox. Could be aftermarket though.

As I said, if I remember correctly it still has the yellow and grey Renault sticker on it ( the car doesn't do very many miles) so at some point it was available from them. I was thinking that someone might have jumped in with more information. There is a picture, not great, in my profile, fills the cutout nicely.
