yes, the steel rings weld to the wishbones and the bushes sit inside them

Not on all sets, some dont have the outer ring.

do they not? I spose in that case you need the outer ring that's already in the wishbone, i thought that was integral to the o/e bush so when you remove the old bush the outer ring comes with it

i think theres two types..

some coem with the ring, others you dont require it..

Hi Martin,

My understanding is that the larger side of the bush goes on the inside of the wishbone arm and the flat part of the larger area is so the larger side of the bush fits, as there is an inner section of the wishbone which would stop the larger area for sitting flush without the flattened off side.

Hope that helps.

Mine are the same as the above and came with inner and outer, like dj said some sets don't have the outer and are fitted like above. I'm think it is the powerflex that come without the outers, don't panic maybe check with supplier ;)

mine are purple powerflex and have the outer sleeves, but this is for a clio although the lower arms looks identical essentially

mine also had the metal sleeves.
i think without the outer sleeve then you have too much movement in the bush and they will not be acting the same as the OE bush.

Not powerflex then lol, I can not remember which member it was but someone fitted a set like the ones in djs picture.

If you do get a set with the inner and outer sleeve, make sure you tak the outers to the wishbone, I got no fitting instructions with mine, it was only by giving my car a good ragging, once the bushes warmed up the car started to dive around under braking, on inspecting I could move the wishbone along the outer sleeve by about 3-4mm. I had a good search on here and found someone mention taking them in, never had anymore issues :)

Well, they just dont look right whitout metal sleeve and as Sparkie say, there might be too much movement and they wont last long I guess...
Does anybody have one of this on the car? If so, are they worth puting on the car?

Schwartz and raj, there was someone else to. Speak with the supplier, That should put your mind at ease.
