Horn wiring?

I want to put a standard horn on my 5 as there isnt one on it at all and need one as mu cars nearly ready for MOT, dont want the air horn type? So how do i go about wiring one in?

Just use a standard electrical horn. Wire it in using the two plugs that run to the horn compressor. That's what I did and works a treat.

Do you still have your old horn fitted? Take the two wires from the compressor. It should be near the header tank bolted onto the passenger wing. Near the headlight.

Never had a horn fitted when i got the car as a project like so could do with a pic of the wiring? Or the colours of them?

Wiring should be around the passenger wing. It is in the same loom as the fog lights. Should be two plastic plugs, one red and one black.

The wiring loom for the horn and the fogs, Mike will be able to sort you one out give him a pm. It plugs into a grey plug under the drivers side headlamp. It then runs along the front crossmember and then to the horn on the passenger side.

Got the loom there il see if the wires are there though i know my fog relays? Dont look the best so might get another if it dont work

Worthwhile mate. Get it from GT Turbo spares tho, that link was for CGB and i was just using it as an example to help :)
