Hi guys as you might know my car is due to have a full restoration part of which will be replwcing inner and outter sills on both sides, i was wondering what prices you have either paid or been quoted as im trying to gauge what seems a fair price. Of course i wont just opt for the cheapest and im doing as much research on proposed bodyshops etc that i can.
Sorry for the hijack but if you find a good reasonable bodyshop in stoke let me know as I'm in the same boat
Hi andy i paid about £480 for inner and outer sills fitted and new jacking points

That's cheap. I was quoted £150 a side just for jacking points.

Just remember to get you sills via raider gtt, the ones he gets are p1ssed on by virgins to protect them from rust. There also made with a super metal like no other, even NASA are looking into it for there new space stations.

buy a welder, and do it urself, cheaper! and you get a welder at the end of the job to keep!

Get on the mig welding tutorial forum. Will show you the basics of arc, tig, mig etc... Then buy a welder. I went for an arc inverter great bit of kit, but that was because I have to do mine outside. If you have a garage go for a mig with gas will be easiest.

russ (steerfromtherear) was going be doing it but hes had some unfortunate luck as of late so thats a no no.
