Anyone using tyre style valve on the header tank? Just seen it and thought good idea and 2 benefits!!!
1) Bleeding.
2)Running the system at pressure.:agree:
Did have a picture but wont load.:disagree:
I got one sitting in my garage, like you say great for finding leaks and really easy to create from an old bike innertube and old cap :agree:
Ive used one for pressuring the coolant system for years, works well. Easier to bleed by blowing in header tank as you would have to take the top off to keep the coolant topped up.

I was more leaning to keeping the water system cooler, as running higher pressures:).

So when driving around you pump air into the header tank to produce higher pressure

water wetter would be better than raising the pressure :agree:

i agree, an addative would do the trick, raises boiling point over plain water and many standard coolants, improves heat absorbsion and inhibits corrosion, not a bad quality with a cast block.

just topping it up too much would reduce the room for expansion and increase the pressure.
