View Full Version : Calliper sliders
Is it possible to get new brake caliber sliders for front GTT calipers? Mine are worn pretty bad and are rattling like mad!
Ron
I was looking at TRW brake carriers for the GT Turbo the other day and they say its unavailable now :(
mk 3 clio 1.2 16v calipers are the same caliper but must be 16v as 8v are not vented and 16v's are.

they look different, calipers are the same though
Hmm looks interesting maybe worth a look. Worse comes to the worse I will have to find some calipers in better condition.

offset looks different on those carriers? dificult to tell tho.
In my experience the carriers dont wear, you could probably go down the scrappy and find a set of sliders off a newer model renault and fit them to your existing carriers.
The reason why the sliders become loose is due to the plastic sleeve wearing on them, you could probably replace the plastic easy enough to fix yours??
Brigsy I don't think your far wrong there doesn't seem to be any wear as such so the missing plastic sleeve is more than likely the cause. I will have them off over the weekend and see what I can do.
Brigsy is correct, its the missing plastic sleeve which causes the rattle :agree:

sorry for making you misunderstand but was refering to the sliders for the size of the caliper not the carriers sorry for sounding cocky just correcting what did not explain clear enough in my post.
