Thats the price I paid, but thats with my raider alloys, so one off paint and also a polished lip, you should be looking in the region of about £150 I would have thought if it was just a standard colouring and no real working needing to the wheel like massive kerb marks out.

few place's near me will powder coat for £35 A wheel.. usually a week to do... then a fiver to have a tyre mounted and balanced.at a local indipendent tire place............often the tyre garages will provide a complete service for 70 a wheel.. off/coat/remount and balance...........

£280 is a bit steep. Round here you can get wheels refurbed for £150-200 a set depending on condition. They remove tyres, blast and fix damage, powdercoat and refit tyres.

:agree: Same here... Around £40/50 per alloy.

i paid 30 per wheel powdercoated, but that was a mate rate, id say at most 50ish a wheel? unless it was some nicely polished wheels or something? then around 5-10 a tyre for fitting and balanced.

My 16s cost me £200 from the wheel specialist, i guess your quote is a bit more due to the same day service.

for paint thats a fair to high price to same standard as bodywork. powdercoating should be half that cost

The thing is there's about 26 spokes and there black so a fare bit of work for him todo.. I wouldn't want todo it. Not unless I was chemically stripping them..

ive painted a few wheels in my time and its a paint in the arse keeping a wet edge going inside and out

i generally just paint the inside the colour of the wheel then get the outside  you get dry spray back on the inside then but people dont really want a mirror finish on the inside of the rim

sorry about picture quality didnt do the rims justice
