New poster! (less than 10 posts)

hi guys,

had a bit of trouble with payment but its sorted now, cheers to everyone who helped.

anyway, my names chris, im 21 and i live in staines :ashamed: ha how appropriate. i used to own a renault 5 turbo when i was 18, but as im sure a few member on here know insurance was £2500+ i cant remember exactly but the direct debit was £250 a month! as you can imagine i didnt last long, after fitting an alarm for insurance, doing a clutch, mounts and gearbox shift springs (which wasnt too bad as i work on the weekend in a garage with a friend who is a renault specialist, he used to work for renault and when he lived in portugal he worked on renault 5's in the rallys, handy man to know!) i got it back on the road for about a month then it started puffing smoke and knocking... i was skint and the car had to go, infact it recently went for sale on piston heads again, g780pgx if any bought it. after a few other cars i got a honda crx vt mk2 that i spent a laod on, i put in an interga type r engine which dynoed at 185.7 hp with very little torque  .

unfortuantely, one day (due to me being a large lad) i was at a pub where a few mates work getting a curry, an hour later i come out to find my money pit had been jacked up and the wheels had been stolen..... even worse than that was they kicked out the jacks which dropped the car on the discs.... and even worse than that they took all the WHEEL NUTS!! so i couldnt even put on my spare wheels!, after this i decided that the cost of putting it back to how it was far out-weighed the money i had so i broke it and sold the car, im just selling the engine now on ebay (for £800 less than i bought it for in may!) and with the money i got form the shell i thought id look to see what i could get to run relativly cheaply...... after getting a much more freindly insurance quote of £640 fully comp i landed on my old crush the renault 5 turbo.

the short version of that is hello, and im looking for a renault 5 turbo at the moment.

aside from that i work for british gas as a service and breakdown engieer who also does installation, so let me know if anyone local-ish is having boiler troubles.

thats about it from me.

look forward to talking and meeting some of you.
