How do u take the heater fan out?

Just wondering if anyone can help me out the fan in the engine bay near the bulk head heater fan?it works when it wants I recon it's a loose connection as when I touch it or move it it works how do u take em out?

pull it straight upwards..

[phase i 16 v turbo]

Be carefully as they sometime snap :D
