View Full Version : Tattoo on inside of a mans wrist, gay/girlie or ok?
I want a new tattoo that has a lot of personal meaning for me but can really think of anywhere to put it.
The first place i thought of was inside my wrist but my missus said that was a bit girlie.
So i asked her where else i could get it and neither of us can think of anywhere.
Its only a small one, 3"x1" roughly and its not a name/lettering/date......
Its a small pair of sunglasses that like i said has a lot of meaning for me.
Should i get it there or not? Would it be seen as gay/girlie???
Ive got 1 on my back and 2 on each shoulder already and about to get another on my ribs on my left side soon, so not like its my only 1 but will be the only 1 any1 can see 90% of the time.

Im only askin cos first thing my missus said was isnt that girlie.
And i dont want a girlie tattoo lol.

A lot of people have them on inside of their wrist, its your body and if you want it there do it and dont worry about what others think if it has lots of personal meaning to you
It's not like you're having a fairy put on your wrist! It's fine for it to go there, think it looks right. You should know better than anyone that others opinions really shouldn't matter on your personal tattoos...what do girls know anyway?! :D

Its a personal choice, you are doing it for yourself not anyone else.
I don't have any tatoo's so prob not in a position to comment. I don't have any mainly because they're like stickers on your car, each to their own but at least when you get fed up of it you can take them off. I did want a barcode on the back of my neck, and wanted my cheek bone pierced but settled for a tongue bar. However they are good to look at and realise that most are personal, so to others they may wonder why people have got what they have. So, wrist tatoos are fine imo, the only ones i'd class as girlie are navel, base of spine and belly button but regards yours, without knowing why, I'd think glasses go on your head, why get it there, it should be a watch/chain. If its personal they maybe close to your heart, and use your nipple as the nose, but maybe the 'comedy' of that would deter from the meaning of it. Suppose if your wantin it one show most of the time then there aren't many places to put it.
Anyway, get some pics up once you've had it done :)

I would advise painting or drawing this on first, so you can get an idea of what it looks like. Good luck
True dawn, i dont really care but didnt wanna get something if it was known as some sort of statement i wasnt aware of lol.
Other than that you can think what you want of me, i dont care lol.
Guess its just my missus that thinks its gay then pmsl.
I dont want it there for people to see, it just seems the obvious place to me and i thought it was quite cool.
I am getting a dragon with some other bits on my ribs too so thats a more manly place lol.

my mate and his wife have matching wrist tattoos, it's the gemini star sign so looks like they both have 69 written on their wrists :laugh:
i wouldn't say it was too girly for him or too manly for her, it's down to peoples opinions on tattoos in general.
have it along the edge of your index finger.
that way you can put your finger over your eyes, and voila you are wearing the shades. - similar to the old moustache on the finger 'gag'....

I did wear the glasses as a bracelet for a few days and i liked it but totally was impractical and started to wear off too.
Im gunna have it done.
best place to have them tattooed is on your forehead mate never look out of place.

If its cool with you mate id like to have a look at yours, but that is by far the best work ive seen so far.
What does he charge per hour? And does he do a full day charge for say 8hrs?

When I FINALLY get round to getting my sleeve done, I'll be using Meehow at No Regrets. His work is getting more and more impressive by the day. Sure, it's a journey compared to Robb (who did my first tattoo), but No Regrets are £20 per hour cheaper, which helps with the fuel money.

I may not know the same guy here, but is this the Wayne the mechanic that gets his customers turbo's from TD? Also has a cossie and last time I saw him I asked him about ''Jam'' the really short angry guy from Croydon that used to have a Metro turbo...

If it's the same Wayne, he's been using us for longer than I've been there, which is 7 years now:crap:. I don't know what Cossie he has, he only asks me what I've done to my motor and lets me know what he's done to his if I ask. The last time I saw him he said it cost him £3k to upgrade to 1000cc injectors with all the relevant inlet upgrades.
He's always inviting me down your neck of the woods for meets but I never take up the offer. I get everyone wonder why I run the setup I do and never use it, in their words. I just keep myself to myself though.
Thinking about it, he has a Saph, which was featured in one of the Ford tuning mags a few months back.

he had the 3dr featured just before xmas and since the feature bought a t38, 1000cc, new small turbo inlet that needed a different tps from the one that came with it (so took the 1 off my car lol) and a new quaiffe diff.
Yeah, that sounds like him. He didn't get the T38 from us though, he bought it from Turbo Dynamics. I thought he had a Saph, it may have been a 3 door though...
that is him yea, the t38 wasnt from you, he got it from td as tony mannock of turbosystems mapped his car and told him what to get and from where.
he used to have a corsa on throttle bodies too
