anybody had experiance of having to raise the front of the bonnet slightly ?, The front of my bonnet has dropped slightly at the front, between the wings, the only way i can see to improve this is to drill the hinge spot welds out and move them up a few mm.

Anybody

Is there not enough adjustment on the studs on the bonnet, i slightly elongated the holes on my hinges and it did the trick.

You could just pull you wings around a bit to get a better fit.

How much has it dropped by dj?

Ill grab some pics.. its kind of dropped down.. so not in the direction of the adjustment if that makes sence.. ill grab a pic at the weekend, but basically the pins that go through the holes (with the circlips on), have a lot of play in them, and its dropped down there, if i pull the bonnet up slightly its in the correct place..

Its dropped enough to look a bit silly if im honest lol, id say 3mm or so to low. Genuine wings so not dodgy pattens.

you can see it actually here

Pack the bonnet hinges & elongate the holes. i think you used to be able to actually buy spacers from renault at one point. When you change the wings and bonnet its a nightmare to get the gaps right.

hmm only thing is.. if i pack the studs, that will sort of pull the bonnet forwards aswell, due to what abouts them studs fit (on the front angle), where as really i think it just needs to go vertical staight up.. tell me about it man, its even harder than its all painted lol

can you not try a new set of hinges, or just the bit that bolts to the bonnet?

I had the same problem with mine mate after its respray.
I had to pack out behind the hinge with two 2mm washers on each stud of the bonnet.
I then had to use normal nuts instead of the standard bonnet ones due to them having the built in washer and not being able to get enough threads through if you get what i mean.
