I got hold of some turbines with 185/55/15 tyres on them and wondered if they will rub on my 5 lowered bout 30mm? If so wots the best size to go for?

The sidewall may be a bit high so might catch the rear arch, but they're only 6.5 wide so you should be ok. If you want the streched look go for 165 50 15's, Bridgestone do a tyre in this size as do Nankang (cheaper). I have bridgestones, and I know it sounds silly but I think they look better than the cheaper variant.

Or just go for the usual size, 195 45 15, plenty of makes to choose from in that size, but I'd say Toyo's are pretty go for a road tyre.
