accelerate cable

I've just refitted my accelerate cable and now the foot pedal is soft , does the cable clip on somewhere? Wot have I forgot to do? Any help would be greatful

Have you tightens the nut and clip for the cable about 3inch to the left of the carb?

I took the exhaust manifold off,so i took the accelerate cable off with the bracket with it still attached??? So i haven't touched where it attached to anything, well i don't think i have!?!?
