View Full Version : HELP What turbo is this.????

Theres no markings on outside of the turbo housing apart from the garrett logo, but inside the snail parts it has 48 on the front and 35 on the rear any help would be appreciated.

If the .48 is in the snail were it connects to the boost to intercooler it could still just be a T2.

Got any pic's of the housing's and markings?

Size wise and the numbers you have mentioned it looks a like a standard T2 me

I bought it off here a year ago believing it to be t2 t25 but what a let down thanks for having a ganders tho, ill bung it on for now and get my other rebuilt when i can.

I could be mistaken, but the rear wheel looks bigger than standard, but then it's been a while since I saw a standard turbo...

Looker like to me it's got bigger than stock compressor and turbine just machied into standard housings. Would make for a nice punchy unit.

doesnt look a bad turbo, as others have said deffo a bigger than standard compressor wheel (isn't the standard house on the induction side fluted down slightly?) and looks to be a bigger exhaust wheel. looks like fun

I had a similar unit on my old blue 5 when I 1st bought it off Perry, went really well TBH, will struggle if you are looking for big numbers though.

Me and dangerous dave took it out just now pulls upto six and a half but funny its running 18psi in 3rd you hit 4th it spikes upto 21psi ?? Weird better check fueling soon
