The Committee are happy to announce for the first time since National Day 2005, RTOC has secured a weekend date for Santa Pod……Sunday 2nd September!

To do this we have booked 40 out of a possible 100 tickets from one of Santa Pods “Peak Performance track days” this is what they have to say about these events……

“Are you serious about performance testing?
Do you want exclusive track time without tackling the ever growing Run What Ya Brungs (RWYB)?
Peak Performance Days provide a cost-effective way of testing with lots of track time and pit-space. Places are restricted to a maximum of 100 and are available on a first-come/first-served basis.
Peak Performance days are great opportunities for race teams and individuals to get their cars tuned-up for that big event. All types of vehicle are welcome.
The Drag Strip will be fully prepared to race standard for maximum traction and full performance printouts are available after every run you do, showing reaction time, speed and elapsed time at intervals up to the 1/4 mile. Emergency services and marshals will make sure you are able to get the most out of the day in the safest possible way”

There are many reason why we have went for this type of day as opposed to an exclusive hire on a Friday:

¨ A saving of over £3500 on a Saturday/Sunday hire (that they will not sell us)
¨ Track preparation of a much higher standard than we would ever get.
¨ More to look at with other people testing on the same day.
¨ Weekend event so hopefully a larger turnout of members.

The only difference between our Friday Pod days and this setup, as it’s a day run by Santa Pod we have no control over the gate so spectators and drag racers will have to pay an entrance fee of £12 per person on the day unless they buy their ticket in advance.

We are also finalising the possibility of being able to camp at Pod on the Saturday Night prior to the event also! :niceone:

We will be putting the tickets in the shop soon & post an update on this thread when we do.

Dawn does the £10 include people who are in the same vehicle?

Hiya Dave, it's £10 per person. The way that it works is that everyone will have an entry ticket but those who have paid for the 1/4 mile will also have a second ticket which allows them on track :)
