External Waste gate

Been fitting a external wastegate and screamer pipe to the motor today, all fitted no probs but not really plumped in as Im not really sure what the 2 ports on the waste gate need connecting to?

Are they like the ports on a normal actuator? One to operate the diaphram and the other just drain off?

Any advice greatly appreciated?

The pipe that would go to the actuator goes on the bottom outlet of the wastegate.The top one stays disconnected.
